Today was about paperwork, preparation, and making sure we are ready to take the next important step.
Our team spent the day gathering documents, reviewing information, and organizing the materials needed for tomorrow’s hearing. It may not be the most visible part of creating a community celebration, but it is one of the most important. Every form, detail, and conversation helps move Boricua Block Party closer to becoming an approved event.
Tomorrow, we will present what we have prepared and continue working through the process of seeking approval for the celebration planned for August 15. We are going into the hearing hopeful, organized, and ready to answer questions about the event and the work being done behind the scenes.
This stage is a reminder that bringing an event to the neighborhood takes more than a good idea. It requires patience, responsibility, communication, and a willingness to handle each step correctly. We want to create something the community can enjoy while respecting the neighborhood and the requirements that help keep everyone safe.
We are grateful for the encouragement we have already received. Every message, share, application, and conversation has helped us stay focused while we work through the details.
